On April 7, VFW NASCAR drivers Kevin Harvick and Ron Hornaday will visit Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Harvick and Hornaday are making the trip to show support for those who have been injured fighting for our country.
“Kevin and Ron’s visit to Walter Reed will mean a lot to those recovering at the hospital. It shows them VFW cares about what they are going through and gives them the opportunity to meet their very own NASCAR drivers,” says Kevin Jones, VFW Director of Administrative Operations.
”There is no way to repay these great Americans for all they have done to protect our way of life,” said Kevin Harvick. “I am honored to have the opportunity to thank them in person.”
The first 2009 VFW Racing event is the VFW Primary Camping World Series truck race in Atlanta, Ga., on March 7. Troops from Ft. Benning are invited to the hospitality event and to help cheer Ron Hornaday on to victory.
